Linking in to LinkedIn Effectively
LinkedIn was one of the first social networking tools that I ever joined online. The concept was simple: you know people, those people know people, and maybe, just maybe, a connection of yours might know someone who can help you with a particular problem.
Its search engine is especially useful, allowing you to see people who you might not know directly, but might be able to connect with through someone in your network via an introduction.

Small Business, Big Voices, Episode 8: Dee Rudko, AMRCON
This next series of videos occurred after a seminar we gave demonstrating the difference between the types of Facebook pages to business owners in the area. Some had started down the Facebook path by creating their own personal page based on their business, others had created a group page, while still others had created a fan page. Once they had their pages, most didn’t know what to do with it. We helped give them some ideas to implement as their strategy going forward.

Mobile Blogging
I’ve been so busy lately I haven’t been as good as I am about keeping up with The Web and You. In an effort to give myself more flexibility in blogging, I decided to try using WordPress‘ free app (version 2.1) for my iPhone. I tried it because I am hopeful that it will help me to write shorter posts for when I’m on the go or for when I just don’t have time to sit at my computer to write this stuff.
Based on my first impressions, I’m not sure it will help.
The idea is sound: create a mobile blogging platform for people on the go. And the app has access to the more important functions of your blog. But if you’re expecting something that will let you write a full-fledged post with pictures, you’ll be disappointed.

She’s also looking to connect with people who share the same concerns with identity theft as she does and empower people, especially women, who need the legal protection that they may think they cannot afford.
